Ah, got it. Thank goodness for Google. Lets see.... 300 cubits long by 50 cubits wide by 30 cubits high. Hmm, that shouldn't be too difficult. What's a cubit? Oh, Oh! Maybe I won't build an ark. Noah's Ark was 450ft by 75ft by 45ft.
Well, maybe Noah will float by and I can hitch a ride. You see, beautiful Suwanee is slowly succumbing to all the rain we've over the last 24 hours, and more is projected. Here is a picture of the containment pond behind my house. Normally it is 10 or 12 feet or so below this level.
And Suwanee Creek is even worse. This picture shows the bridge over the creek which is about 100 yards behind the house. Down there below all the water is a walking path, so the creek is at least 10' above normal.
Well, if I can't build my own Ark I can start collecting animals... 2 by 2. I'll start with Susan and me. We don't have any pets but I see two spiders on the wall and I know if I prowl under the kitchen cupboards with a flashlight I'll get a couple of palmetto bugs (thats Southernese for cockroach. Them Southerners are pretty smart, the have a real way with words. I mean, the women never pass gas, they just have the vapors!). Now if the rain will just let up for a few minutes the hummingbirds will try for a quick drink at the feeder and can snag two of 'em with a net. I'm sure Noah will appreciate my effort. I sure hope he shows up soon. Maybe if he watches this video he will get that Ark in gear.
Another heavy rain and the bridge might be gone! Then What? And we are supposed to move next weekend. I wonder if the Ark has rental storage units aboard?
