The Boys of Bristol

This past weekend was one of my favorite times as I spent the weekend with my three sons at the NASCAR races at Bristol, TN. We've been getting together twice a year at Bristol for a weekend of bonding since 2004. These excursions are a continuation of the many trips we took to Michigan International Speedway when the boys were much younger.

It's not exactly roughing it since we stayed in a trailer across from the track equipped with electricity, hot water, shower, toilet, microwave, stove and fridge. Oh, did I mention satellite TV? We have it down to a science and it is a far cry from the first year in a tent. The cooler and fridge contain our favorite beverages and for dinners this year we grilled T-bone steaks one night and munched black bean burritos, chips and homemade guacamole the next evening. Kathy's dessert that was sent with Dennis successfully topped off the meals.

I'm already looking forward to the night races at Bristol in August!

Looks like good male bonding!
