This past week was enclosed by two perfect bookends. Last Sunday, the 7th, was my granddaughter Kylie's open house for her high school graduation. Susan and I had a wonderful time at her Grand Rapids, Michigan home, visiting with friends and relatives, and even helping out a bit. Dennis and Kathy set up a huge tent in the back yard which was filled to capacity with full tables. The crowd overflowed the tent onto the porch and into the cleaned out garage. Two outdoor grills were manned by friends who were flipping the "sliders" that complimented a full arsenal of other food prepared by Kathy. This was Kylie's day in the sun and she was the shining star as she mingled and made time to visit with everyone.
Yesterday, the 13th, wa

s our 17th wedding anniversary and Susan treated us to the musical "Jersey Boys" at Atlanta's Fabulous Fox Theater followed by dinner at Copeland's. "Jersey Boys" is well worth seeing as long as you can overlook a heavy dose of cussing. It's about the Four Seasons and their rise to fame. The music was fantastic and the talented troupe performed all their big hits.
I know that Susan really loves me. She has to considering being with me with in Grand Rapids for a 65-mile bike ride on Saturday, helping out at the open house on Sunday, driving 900+ miles back to Suwanee, putting in a busy week at work, and coming up with a great idea to celebrate our anniversary.
