Housing Project Update

No, not the local multi-family "housing project" but our ongoing effort to add a personal touch to the new place. You may recall from an earlier post that our "new" house is actually seven years old. The past owners, an elderly couple (as if I'm not elderly), were the original occupants and over the years never painted any rooms. As a result the entire house, except for a half-bath, was painted with the original inexpensive builders "blah" colored paint. Here are some photos showing off the results of Newt's wicked way with brush and roller and, more importantly, Susan's eye for color schemes, furniture, and wall hangings, - with a few tips from a professional interior decorator. These are only three of the four rooms we've redone so far.
Living Room - we also replaced the yuck carpet with hardwood flooring

Den/Family Room

Dining Room - this room also got the hardwood treatment
